WEIGHT LOSS NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE

Apples, a cucumber, sliced Lemon and ginger blended and poured into two glass cups

Side effects of following internet trends on smoothies  diet

#truestory #diet #healthtips

During the lock down, i had put on a lot of weight  due to boredom and bingeing on every food that i could find. I ate and baked to keep myself busy and laziness from idleness didn't help my matter.

Like most ladies, lets  fast forward to 2022, workouts or gym can be tiresome and i kept putting it off until i noticed all or most of my  clothes could not longer fit; they were all becoming too tight.
I wasn't proud of my tummy at this point, it was becoming too loose for comfort, my upper arms would flap rather too easily but it was my tummy that i couldn't stand.ope! i was not obese , but defiantly overweight.

So one day while browsing around on Instagram, i saw this magical video about how fast and effective these items in the picture above works for tummy fat.  It will burn all your tummy fats and you can have your firmness back  so easy and the items were just siting in my fruit bowl on the table. I wanted a short cut, quick fixed. I couldn't do more that 5-10 sit up every other day.

Lets analyze that picture of fruits. To be honest, what could possible go wrong? its just a smoothie mix of healthy fruits and root. I have eaten  them each separately before and was not allergic to any of them at all. So i went ahead; washed and blended the items in that picture and drink it. it was
Delicious! Oh let me add that i did not add include spinach in my blended mix 1 of each: lemon, apple, cucumber   and a tiny bit of ginger.
Tasted heavenly, no after bitter taste, i wanted to make more but an inner nudge in my mind kicked against it. My whole day went on splendidly, no problems at all. In fact, I had a new spring to my steps.

The nightmare began the next day, i looked at my phone it was 2:30am. I felt pressed, so naturally, i went to the toilet. but instead of peeing, I had cramps in my stomach and i let loose my bowels. This was involuntary i must add. I kept  returning to the toilet at this at least eight times and each time the stomach cramps were increasingly more painful.
This  resulted  in taking antibiotics; because the "stooling" or "diarrhea" kept occurring for five days straight. I dared not make sudden jumping movements, for the fear of shitting myself, it was bad!
More than a week later, Ha!i saw results. My tummy was flat as a chopping board, but was it worth it?
I had lost 5kg in a week and would had been dangerously dehydrated' if not for the home made O.R.T, which  i drank as often i as could.

My point is, don't believe everything you watch on the internet,  Please people read the comments, if possible. I have started working out at my own pace daily and I later discovered eating more vegetables, water, early morning stretches and avoid eating late like  8-9pm helped in my weight loss. I had a firmer stomach, lost good weight and feel more flexible.

My people, love your body, treat it well o! Do not go extreme. Abeg! Please! No short cuts and Enjoy your food with wisdom.

#Amazingspots #foodie Lets gist hangout in Lekki Lagos

I love finding new spots to hang out with friends  and fortunately a friend find this cool spot in Lekki phase one, on Lexington mall along Admiralty way. Its a cozy restaurant called "MILANO restaurant". Normally, i don't like eateries or restaurants because they can be noisy and over crowded, aesthetics can be depressing or overwhelming.
Wow! I got to this place and I love the decor, the natural lighting with the lovely simple chandeliers. And my on my! the service superior, i mean they treat you like a queen (which i love) and the food is fantastic.
Sweet pizza and  delicious club sandwich.

Above is the wonderful friendly Chef Kahlil , who was so humble and sweet.
so peeps, wherever you are in Lagos and you want to chill in a calm  and beautiful enivromnet, You want somewhere for a quite romantic date,' Milano restraurant' is just the perfect spoet and the best thing is, its sooooo affordable.

#lieswehear "Matured singles in African society" #snubNstigma" #myths

"Matured singles in African society"

#maturedwomen

This is old news that every part of the world have their own view and sayings for ladies who are still single in the late twenties, thirties, forties and fifties. These are words of supposed wisdom on  how they look at  person who seems physically normal and by this i mean; having two legs, no deformity, working, good looking and very single.
The words for men would be, "My guy! are you gay?" You don catch AIDS?" especially they don't see women leaving your room early in the morning or you dress on point and no chic by your side.  but they never say that to a man in public or at events. these are private gists.

For ladies its a different scenario, it start with the " I dey pity you statement" (that's our local English phrase, it means try and make her feel sorry for herself)
"Oh! you are getting fat", "whats up sis?" , "Don't worry God will do it for  you?" "all is well!" ,"You are not the only one", "No kill your self!" "But you well soo?"
then you get into your forties: the tone becomes harsh or forcefully, please pardon the phrases , most are in pidgin english.
" Oh girl you don old ooo, na small boys you go soon follow?"
" you are too selective, thats the problem. " " just grab on the anyone way come your way" " My dear, your eggs don dey spoil ooo, sharply go see that man of God". " What is special about you, wetin you d feel like?"

The  truth is life is in stages and being single is not a disease. nobody notices the high rate of divorces in Africa due to the rush to marry, in order to slay your friends. Just to say Sorry "I pepper them well" with all the glam that goes with wedding.

They get in a relationship by fears or by force and discover they don't know anything about that guy and feel frustrated because they had no clue that he is not meant to make them happy. I have colleagues in the field of counseling and we all agree that its common for a Nigerian Lady in her early thirties who had dreams, would want to kill those dreams and adventurous side of herself because she wants to become someone she is not in order to get married.  An classic example  would be a drag queen on heels who wants to be spotted like a peacock for the slaughter, Hunters will rush for that foolish prey, because its easy to spot.
OK! that is  harsh! my apologies but no one can make you happy, your parents didn't, so why do you want this poor fellow to do the job. Stop running from one church to the other. Stop "sowing seeds" of money in church just to get married, or joining the ushering  unit in church just to get a guy.

My beautiful matured lady, stop sleeping over at his place because he says he loves you and want to spend the rest of his life with you but he is too lazy or a ready to pay your dowry or wed you but he is very eager to get into the sack with you. Now you shove all you religious and cultural ethics and make yourself lower than a maid, cheaper than a prostitute in a.k.a "our wife" or " assurance lady" because of what his friends call you.

You need to look at yourself in the mirror.
Ask yourself this question, Who are you? I am proud to let you know that  "You are a queen!"
Yes! you might be broke, single, working, on top of your career or not even where you wan to be right now.
This is what you need to do:
Take care of  your body, listen to positive music (for me; Chirstian worship songs does make me feel good0. Dress like the queen that you are, it does not have to be expensive but it must be comfortable.  Delete numbers from your phone or block friends that make you feel like a failure and keep calling those who inspire you, pray with you, encourage you.

Don't feel bad to let go of your fears and frustration but don't do that with food. keep your mind, Spirit man and body in tone and in shape. Read (I personally enjoy reading my bible) books that inspire,  set little goals each month beacuse it gives you focus. Sister please, work on your character, be polite, nice, not a bitter hag in her forties and give love to your neighbor. A lot of people met by referrals, someone told someone about them.

Most, importantly, LIVE with a purpose, be happy in a healthy and legal way
( not by using drugs, sex or crazy stuff, i don't know you decide).
Have values  in life or create  values into  your lifestyle.

from a fellow single sister with love
xoxo

Wow, the amazing results of Aloe vera +coconut oil on my grey hair.....

#Health and Beauty tips.
Its been while i had written anything but i  am back to cheer up your day. Ladies love to look great , not just good but great. Everyone of us, women  want that really fine texture, bounce and luster to our hair. I know as a African,  the natural kinky hair or dreads are back, and looks so cool on a lot of ladies. I still have my hair treatment chemically to stretch it out  because its thick and my hair personally; in its natural state when combed gave me headaches.

If you had read my earlier blog on what i discovered from the internet about Aloe vera and its effective in regrowing already balding scalp. As a lover of all things "try it out" from the internet, i did and using the extracted gel in raw form worked. My front hairline has grown and its thicker than before. So now I use Aloe vera  as my edge control when i have braids on, when i brush back my hair in a bun. Its so cool no side effects, sometimes you might feel an itch.

So you can understand my enthusiasm on having all these grey hair turning back to dark brown(my original hair colour). Why not just DYE your hair back? you might ask, well it so happens that my hairstylist and I discovered that i am very allergic to dyes. I mean i had used Henna, Local and foreign dyes with the same rashes and weird looking dandruff popping all over my scalp.
So i surf the internet and saw a couple of videos and  the link below on how easy it is to use Aloe vera mixed with coconut oil to condition your hair and  it also turns grey back to your original natural colour.

 https://www.curejoy.com/content/can-reverse-graying-hair-natural-color/

Wow! i did it for like 5 days straight and waited for another week to see if there were any remarkable changes. The amazing results was NOTHING HAPPENED. Those grey hair were there loud  and proud, and are popping even on my front hairline now.the mixture didn't work, so i went back to check the  videos on U-tube and i realized one thing. they were all white people. Maybe it works for Chinese, Indians and Europeans.
the lesson for the day, I learnt to love my hair with all the grey bits and its shines pretty well and give me that distinguish and sophisticated intelligent look. So now i just flaunt my hair with cool hairstyles  and feel cool with myself. Now and then, I do get so nasty remarks from the elders(Women in their sixties and above",  comments like " Don't you think you should be ashmed of looking like an old  woman" or " Young lady, does your hair not itch you?"
My response is to smile because i am not afraid to age with grace.

The Moral of my story is that even if you try something new, don't let it change you. I am very okay with dying your hair, cutting your hair, using extensions or whatever choice you prefer.
My advise to ladies reading this story, Please have a healthy outlook of yourself. By this, I mean think beautiful, eat healthy, rest early, throw your worries to God and it will reflect on your body, hair and health.

Amazing!Ladies Aloe Vera works for balding scalp too. Yes!

My  Front hair baldness cured!

#organic naturals #beauty #myths

Hello Ladies, i am sure  this is not news to those of us who braid our hair or suffer hair loss during harsh dry season known as Harmattan. The fact that it got worst was through hair stylist that claim they know what they are doing. Every time i loose my braids or weavons, i see my hair strands falling like i shaved them ff. #sad
I have treated a lot of different solutions until i stumble on an article on Bright-side.com on how India use Aloe Vera for conditioning and that is the secret of their long silky hair.
Aloe Vera is a very popular plant in Nigeria with most homes having a pot of the plant at their door ways. Its used for burns, treatment for scalding by oil or hot water and some people swear that by drinking it, you can be cured from fevers. I don't recommend drinking it, because it is very bitter and smells awful.
Aloe Vera

How do you use Aloe Vera on your hair?

  1. As a conditioner: When washing your hair with shampoo, just before your apply your conditioner, take a leaf or two from the plant, open it up and scoop the gel found within the leaves into a bowl. Mash the gel with a spoon till it becomes liquids. Then apply this liquid to your hair and scalp first by rubbing  and massaging using your hands. Then apply your conditioner (local or foreign). Steam your hair using a nylon bag or shower cap for 20 minutes, comb through preferably using a big free comb. then wash out the Aloe and conditioner before styling.
  2. As a gel: if you like to gel down your front hair line, Aloe Vera can be applied along with a little amount of gel.
  3. As a hair moisturizer: We know that coconut oil is a good hair softener and the combination of coconut oil and olive oil is great for your hair. but try adding the gel from Aloe Vera ( just a little amount ) on your hair before applying the oils we just mentioned earlier. If you have very dry and brittle hair, you will be amazed on how effective this simple treatment works.

Front hair loss is the same on the the other side of my hairline. in this picture i had not started using Aloe Vera

My front hair line regrowth is thicker and very obvious. This is after just 3 applications in 2 months. What do you think? Aloe Vera #rocks.

Natural organic applications are cheap and very effective on natural and chemical treated hair .
Please give this a try, let me know how your hair feels and it works well for dandruff too. I am proud to say my hair is fuller, silkier and can hold curls well. Guys, you can try it for early baldness and give me feed back. Have a great day! #lookbeautiful #naturals

BREAKING, BROKEN & A HEART BREAK?

HOW TO DEAL WITH HEARTBREAKS?

#emotions

Hello everyone, this not a new topic in any way, but its really discussed in the angle i am going to take it.This is a question that sneaks into your mind when expectations are dashed. To be more explicit(too much grammar abi?), forgive me and allow me to rewind. Heartbreaks is not all about lovey dovey stuffs, crying into a pillow, it could be as a result of other things like visa denial, your favorite football team loses a easy match,  losing a business deal worth very good money e..t.c

How do you get over it?

I am not talking the movies concept of cuddling in bed and wearing your boxers, eating ice cream, cookies and watching sobbing movies. Nah! that's too expensive, a bucket of ice cream will cost you more than 5k (five thousand naira).  Not worth!, I reject diabetes and fat from your body. Try carrots. Lol!
I'm going to give some suggestions and please note that i am not insisting you do what i say but just sending my own views/ recommendations. Trust, i live in Nigeria and heartbreaks is a normal. Ask any citizen living here. If they don't curse the President, they would   the power company. So here goes:
  • Forgive: I don't who, what and why the break happened. Forgives is hard to do but necessary for you. let it go!
  • Cry: force yourself to cry, let those salty tears out if you must. guys don't cry in public so i recommend bathroom tears. it might release the pressure in your cheat region.
  •  Sing or Listen to good music: I don't mean those sad he left me, my world is ruined, i want to kill myself tracks. No! don't go there. Try something fun, praise like, positive. I am a big fan of worship songs.
  •  Talk to someone: this can be therapeutic but you have to sure that person you are confiding in is not a 'Amebo' a.k.a gossip, or your matter will be on Channel news before you can snap your fingers.
  •   Pray: There is no one who has had the massive experience and knowledge on how disappointing man /woman can be. I personally recommend talking to God Almighty on how you feel and your fears.

 "Time heals all wounds"
Give yourself some time, get busy. go out and live your life with a view that God's got your back. Everything may happen for a reason, just thank God for your season.

All na experience/ testimony. Move on. Your heart is not glass, it will hurt but it will heal in time. have a beautiful month.

FRESH FACE AND CONFIDENT.

BEAUTY TALK!

Hi Ladies, its been a while i have been wanting to write up this piece. I went one Sunday to church and noticed almost all the ladies had the same look, same eye brows( all boxy and big) *shivers.
No originality, no fresh face confident lady in sight. I guessed, i missed a couple of Sundays being out of town and all.
The rate at which makeup is been used, its scary! You see someone early hours in the morning, and you don't recognize her from the night before, this also happens to us females not just guys.

Don't misunderstand me, I'm not saying you should be ugly but i feel the need for confidence on your inner beauty. If you ever wondered why a young girl of 18 years look like if she is in her late twenties. #sad.
Its called makeup not madeover to transform you to a fake looking diva e.g look at Nicky. All na show o!
Been "fresh face"; is just giving your facial skin chance to breathe and recover without any makeup possible just light white powder.
the stages of makeup differs from how well versed in the technique a lady knows for that "wow" look. Some its just 3-4 steps while others its  almost 10 steps. Trust me, its like a artist transformation.
I might be harsh but have you notice these ladies that do a lot of chemicals or powder on their skin have break out i.e acne and their face *ages dramatically. OK! I'll say it: they look extremely ugly!
Hey! i do make up o but i have a routine treatment from facial washes, to remove dead  skin, peel off using oranges. I have very oily skin but using mild soaps work well and once in a while i go for facials treatments. Honey with coconut oil helps too. I would never use cream on my face because of my skin type is not a fan to it. No sponges, just facials massages and wash using your hands only.

SO ladies been fresh face is not a Church thing, our ancestors did  it o, once in a while try to be you, do you and step out with that inner confidence and not the outer assistance. *wink!

Have fun !!!!!!!xoxo

Oops! You think, you are enjoying yourself. Get real!

HEALTHY YOU

#Danielsdiet

I guess, you would be wondering what that headline is about. Well! i was out visiting a good friend and we were chatting about her official leave coming up and plans for traveling, when she got a ping on blackberry from a colleague at work who was already on vacation and i think she wrote:
"I am enjoying myself and eating like a big girl everyday"
She then sent a  a picture of her food.Check this out:

This had a lot of cholesterol, which is not easily burnt of with exercise.

she even adds fried sausages to this basic meal. But lets be truthful the average Nigerian is so brainwashed that we are killing ourselves with a lot of quick junk. Don't get me wrong, i am not claiming to be a saint because I am as guilty as everyone else. I had to renew my mind on the definition of enjoyment and a healthy me.
Below picture is the every day quick fix meal for most spinsters or bachelors in Lagos with a chilled bottle of Coke.
I dare you to deny this food! in pidgin "Bros, even you don chop am!"

If you have any argument read the end of this article first, Abeg!  then send  your comments. I believe that to eat "amala and ewedor" everyday is a lot healthier. This meal  in the above picture should be once in a week thing.

Healthy breakfast. Very affordable and not too time consuming.

My dream romantic breakfast.

if you can recall the first "healthy you" article i wrote on  19 of April, 2015. I had a rude awaking that i was an addicted junkie. In this, i mean, i couldn't easily make the right food /nutritional decision/choices everyday. This is not just me but almost every other Lagosian or Nigerian for that matter.
Challenge is for a week:
*
You need to drink on a daily basis: 2 litres of water minimum
* Take fruits twice a day
* Eat freshly made salad at least twice a week
* No Coke, 7Up or Beer (no carbonated drinks nor wine, spirits)
*No cakes , fried plantain (Dodo)nor akara
* Take fermented Drinks at least once; Yorgurt, Ogi, Kunu
*Your budget is N3500( that is in naira) for a week only.
Then take a picture of yourself before and after a week of this diet. Lets us have your comments or observations. We need to know or i need to know, if it was really a challenge or easy breezy!

#mythbuster

Local Nigerian myths
There are old stories from different parts of the world on the reason for problems , luck , successor health.
I would like to introduce you to the common sayings from my homeland d Nigeria.  The five popular myths are
Itching palms  and twitching eye brows: Money is coming.

This is a popular story and  you would like to know if this is true. Sorry No! The hand itches in reality due to excess dry skin. Your eyebrows twitch as a result of muscles around you face are stressed. I had a crazy two weeks of my left eye brow twitching so much I had a headache. I shared this with a friend and he seemed so happy that he proclaimed a huge monetary blessing was to befall me. Yeah right!  A month later, no such magical event happened. I realized I was too stressed out from work.

A piece of thread will cure Hiccup in babies
Now before you say anything, I had to do this practically. My goodness it works. My little niece had the case of hiccups and we were too far for water. I took a piece of thread from my dress and placed it on her head. After a few minutes, the hiccups stopped.
There is not scientific explanation or evidence to support this theory on how true the old midwives tale really is. But if the baby has a very bad case of hiccups, please just give him water (warm is advisable).
Don’t walk over someone legs
This is definitely not true. If you are sitting on the bare floor and stretch out both your legs, someone crosses over your limbs while you lay down. You will have a child that looks exactly like the person who just walked over you, this genetically not possible. It’s just an old Nigerian story to stop young people from bad manners. It is designed to improve our etiquette.
Eating while standing, while make you slimmer or the food will go to your legs.
Please!, Abeg!, since while did your stomach connect to your limbs. False; 100 %. Kindly do some exercise to reduce the weight.

DOES HE LIKE YOU?

#feelingconfused

This  might sound odd but it happens to a lot of us (by this i mean single and no seen, not sure).Does he like you? was the title i read up at epphany.com by google on twitter. And i wanted to share my views. Please note, my views also applies to women as well. ( so don't think of me as a feminist).
The 5 steps to note by this Epphany are as follows:

5:HE IS TOUCHY
They say that  being touchy;shows he is emotional and vulnerable.
The matters of the heart can be tricky but i don't  want it to be confused with  actions like; when he seems to be checking your phones call log, or calls you up at random every day, asking  where you are? whom you are with? (A.k.a Psycho tendency  or mad man ability) Always loses his temper when you don't agree with him. Now! that could best describe being touchy.

4:HE IS LOOKING AT YOUR LIPS
This is an unspoken way that shows he is sexually attracted to you. If you ever watch Telenova or Telemundo  or the Indian series. They tend to show this displayed characteristics. In Nigeria, it could mean he is shy but also could mean he is a sexual pervert, original player. My meaning they all do the same moves, so that number 4 it's not clear. He might even have eye problems, but if a guy looks straight at your breast,as the 80's song goes " it's all about sex baby!...."

3:HE CAN'T STOP SMILING AT YOU.
Hmm! watch Discovery channel or the Wild life channel on D.S.T.V, the predator always smiles at the prey. See the picture to this. Do you think the king fisher was angry when he caught that good fish? No! he was smiling home. If he smiles a lot like my friend Manji who was born that way, because the muscles on his face move just one other direction except when he eats.Lol! okay! seriously, if  there are no jokes said, comedy watched. The man is CRAZY! RUN!

2: HE IS GENUINELY NICE TO YOU
No more Mr. nice Guy! Is that statement true? Honestly, i don't know.  Define what is nice? opening the door, or introducing you to his friends? Asking your opinion on the menu? Or ignoring you when football is on the tv? I don't know but you should.for instance your girlfriend leaves you alone, whenever her friends shows up? or he never says thank you, at all. In Lagos, its scarce to meet really nice people, even in church. People seems to be nice to you for something to gain. Don't believe me? Ask the everyday working class Nigerian.

1: YOU JUST HAVE THAT GUT FEELING!
My take on this is simple. Your "GUT" is also called your stomach. you know that saying " you have butterflies in your tummy whenever he is around, because you love him" STORY!
It could be hunger that is confusing you, your stomach was not designed for detecting your emotions. Your "Belly" can feel funny whenever you are nervous, not when you are in love.
To yourself but true! that's the best advise i can give you.

So, be careful of all the junk, romantic, psychological things written up on the internet. Think them through, please. Do act on every information ladies and gents. Have a great day!

BOOK REVIEW

BOOKS FOR THIS MONTH?

PHILIP BEGHO
 #ReCoNNect #philpbeghobooks
Philip Begho the award wining Author.
As promised, lets talk about the must have books this Month. Its the time to inspire your minds and that of your families. The ReCoNNect movement is aimed to get everyone into reading. I noticed that parents and kids don't connect in any level, in this  i mean, they can not have a good conversation and the rate at which our kids vocabulary is deteriorating with short abbreviations like LOL, ASAP, XOXO, LMAO. It is a miracle they can spell well. i don't want to go into creative imagination and good values.    Most parents rather live their children's schools to teach them home values because they are super busy. Remember when Tale's by moonlight was a program back in the days we would run home on Sunday , just to hear what tortoise did or what girl or naughty boy got from disobedience. Christian values are not  been explained to our children How many parents can read mybook of bible stories and explain these to their kids.

PHILIP BEGHO, author of over one hundred books, is an award-winning Nigerian writer (playwright, screenwriter, children's writer, novelist, short story writer and poet). A lot of Philip's Begho's books have these old school morals and religious values  from Toju and Tosan adventures  based on popular bible stores to society ideas of moral and how it can affect kids. Ant boy series who loves to help people and must obey his parents. I can go on.  I love Jelly baby is  by far the most exciting novel with mystery that keeps you  on your sit.

"I began writing at the age of eleven at King's College Lagos when materials were solicited for the school magazine and my short stories were accepted and published. Being able to break out from working as a lawyer to working as a writer has been a dream come true. The price has been steep, but the fulfillment of any dream sweetens the pain of its price."

The list of awards he has received include:
Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) Drama Prize 1994
Lire en Fête Short Story 1st Prize 2001[13]
    ANA/NDDC JP Clark-Bekederemo Prize for Drama 2002
    ANA/Matatu Prize for Children’s Literature 2003
    Isidore Okpewho Prose Prize 2003[2]
    ANA/Atiku Abubakar Prize for Children’s Literature 2005

He also writes dramas for children,  adults and is a trained lawyer. Philip enjoys writing .. My favorites  of Philip's books include TitiRella, Jelly baby, Smallie series, Aunty Felicia series, the short story Crab story.  All his books are available online: Jumia  and Amazon only. The best part, it is extremely affordable. His books price range from N200- N1200.

NO ROMANCE WITHOUT FINANCE

 HELP A BROTHER OUT
 #helpabrotherout
“To be romantic , you have to first be adventurous”
A lot of young men believe that you need to be super rich to take a lady out. Okay, I know it’s said that ladies are scarce but babes are plenty in the market. Unfortunately that statement is very true.
Let me clarified the difference what I mean by the previous statement; “a lady” has manners, she does not settle to be treated like a maid. She has values, she may or may not be working, and her age is not the issue because she could be sixteen. She would never spend the night with you on the first or even 8th date; in fact not at all. She is cultured, well read and can speak eloquently (not necessarily in English). She must be respected and understood. She is submissive but not stupid.
“A Babe” on the other hand has no vision, no focus; she wears whatever any celebrities that seem to be in vogue are wearing. She cannot understand the word self respect because she either underestimate herself or believes that this is old school/old fashions ideals. She is ready to spend every dime she earns (or steals) on clothes, human hair, makeup or shoes. Please note that half her conversation is based on her clothes, labels, and other people. She could be a graduate, working with a good company and has not problem sleeping with you or her boss. *wink*

Now, we have that out of the way. Yes! We were discussing about money and a good first date impression. From my research; most guys always takes their date to any fast food eatery. I have one word to say to that: ”BORING”.  What happened  to nice quiet picnics?
Well! I’m here to help a brother out. Guess what?  try the LEKKI CONSERVATION PARK, in Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria. It is going to be the walk of your life. For real! You guys will walk.

I had a trip with two of “my besties” and I knew our friendship will last after this lifetime coz we walked through that crazy swampy forest, looking a monkeys and most times just trees. Hearing the crickets scream! ( Yes o!, it didn’t sound like chirping to me)
Climbing the rope bridge  but due to reasons unexplained e.g.  We didn’t want to die with the “oyinbos” a.k.a. White people in front of us at the bridge, so we had to turn back. There were pleasant surprises at the end of the path.

We got to the park with barbecues spots, gigantic chess boards, snake and ladders, monopoly.

I was excited to see the”Koi” fish; they were so big and colorful.  Yeah! the tortoises were there and peacocks but the fish won the show for such a journey. There were lovely huts with gorgeous chairs and tables. You can bring you own food and have a picnic even a party.

Enough space to have a quiet time with the lady in your life. How much did it cost to trek more than one kilometer and get the paradise experience?  Just N1000 per head.
Budget:

  1. Gate fee; N1000 per head
  2.  food drinks: N2000 per head (make sandwiches or buy snacks, don't go for pure water. that's too cheap)
  3. Transport( by bus): N3000 (it could be less)
  4. Total amounts to :N7000-N10,000.

Hmm! Your lady? if she is the one you want to spend the rest of your life with. Oh! You will know for sure, if she will stay the long hull with you, if/when she completes that journey without killing you in the forest *wink*.
Have an amazing, simple and affordable lifestyle guys. Get inspired!
